Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is one of the largest and most important wildlife sites in England, set in an exceptional coastal and wetland landscape and home to more than 4,355 species of plants and animals including 300 that are rare or endangered.
The Discovery Centre and Lime Kiln Cafe are open daily from 10am-4pm.There is also an exhibition space featuring a series of panels, short films and interactive displays about the nature reserve. A host of events take place at the centre, including crafts, wildlife walks, family events and nature courses.

Established back in Windsurfing’s heyday in 1986, Rye Watersports is a family run centre with Wingsurfing and Wingfoiling lessons on the lake and Kitesurfing lessons at Camber Sands and Greatstone.
Windsurfing, Dinghy Sailing, and Stand Up Paddleboard lessons for children and adults are run on the beautiful lake, here in East Sussex, from Mid-March to the end of October.
Kids Activity Days, and windsurfing & dinghy sailing clubs are held throughout the Easter and Summer holidays

The Ypres Tower was built in 1249 to defend Rye against attacks from across the channel. It has served as a fort, private dwelling, prison, court hall and now finally as a museum.

Full Throttle Boat Charter
The trip takes 20 mins each way from Rye Harbour and covers 8 miles each way. Once we arrive at Seal bay you get 20 mins bobbing around amongst the seals. Suitable for ages 6 and upwards. hese trips are not suitable for the elderly or frail. The Seals come quite close to the boat ideal for some superb photos. This trip combines the exhilaration of a twin engined RIB boat trip with a wildlife tour.
